Remy Sommers has grown weary of his playboy lifestyle. He’s ready to fall in love and settle down. Problem is, he doesn’t know where to start. After attending his sister’s wedding, he takes her advice and contacts the 1 Night Stand dating agency – the same agency she used to find her new husband.
Bella Donna has had enough of blind dates. She’s always left bitterly disappointed. On the advice of a friend, she contacts Madame Evangeline, hoping her reputation precedes her and she can find Bella Donna her perfect man.
A mysterious invitation from Madame Evangeline leads them both to the secluded and exclusive Castillo Lodge in Alaska for a holiday event.
Will they get their happily ever after? Or will their first white Christmas end in disaster and disappointment?
Remy couldn’t believe he had butterflies. When had be last been nervous about meeting a woman? He couldn’t remember. Yet here he was, standing in front of a closed hotel room door with sweaty palms and a racing heartbeat.
Come on, man. Grow some balls.
He sucked in a breath and ignored the nerves as he slipped his key card into the lock. His date had already arrived. Bella Donna. When he first read the unusual name, the image of a busty blonde goddess came to mind. Which amused him, because he’d never particularly liked blondes, especially since most of them, nowadays, were fake.
Strolling through the living area, he stopped and placed his bag on the floor next to the suitcase and assessed the room quickly. It didn’t surprise him to find the room the epitome of luxury. The Castillo chain was well known for not sparing a cent when it came to the comfort of their guests. They used only the best of everything.
A small squeak from behind distracted him. He turned to find a tall, leggy blonde standing just outside the bathroom door wearing nothing but a towel. Now, he was very happy he’d caught an earlier flight to Alaska.
A flush spread across the woman’s cheeks, traveling to her chest. He grinned, loving the way her pale skin blushed a light pink. Oh yeah, he had a fun night ahead of him.
“I’m sorry,” he said to the beauty before him. “I didn’t mean to interrupt.”
His gaze fell on her legs. He couldn’t help it; he’d always been a leg man. And this woman had a great pair; long and toned with creamy white skin that he just wanted to lick every inch of.
“I’m Remy.” He closed the distance between them and held out his hand.
She cleared her throat and smiled. “Bella Donna.”
Shaking his hand, she held onto the top of her towel with the other.
“I didn’t expect you until tonight.”
“I caught an earlier flight. And now I’m glad I did.”
His gaze traveled up her body again until he caught her gaze. She had deep, chocolate brown eyes that he could just drown in. He shook his head at his rudeness. Staring at a woman he’d just met no doubt made her feel uncomfortable.
“Sorry, I’ll wait in the living room until you’re ready.”
“It’s okay,” she said with a smile. “I just need a change of clothes.” Bella Donna squatted in front of her suitcase and rummaged around. “Those long flights are horrible, I just had to have a bath to feel human again. If you’d shown up twenty minutes ago you probably would have run away, I looked like a zombie.”
Remy laughed at her typical, dry Aussie sense of humor. Just what he’d been searching for—a woman with the same humor as him. “Now, that would have been terrifying.”
Bella Donna flashed him a quick grin as she stood and disappeared into the bathroom.
“Holy hell,” he mumbled to himself, running his fingers through his cropped hair.
Beautiful. The image he’d had in mind was spot on. Remy crossed the room and eyed the tray that sat on the desk. Along with a bottle of expensive bourbon, a plate of meringue desserts with cream and assorted pastries had been laid out. A bottle of chocolate syrup stood to the side with a note in front of it.
Everything here is vegan, including the body chocolate. Have a fun night.
Wow. The woman thought of everything.
